I write music to evoke emotion and reflection — at the core of my work is a commitment to beauty

Having studied music composition at the University of Western Australia under the guidance of Rodger Smalley, Iain Grandage, Christopher Tonkin, and James Ledger, my works aim to balance emotional depth with innovation; inviting listeners into a sound world that is both familiar and refreshingly new.

I believe the human voice is the most beautiful sound that we know and that much of my work is shaped by its expressive power. Through sound I invite listeners to consider the human condition in all its forms.

I am driven by a life-long pursuit to create music that moves us. I strive to write the most beautiful music I can imagine. Alongside this, I seek to explore the new and the unexpected – weaving in distinctive rhythmic idiosyncrasies that give each piece its own character.

Over the years, I have received the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Young Composer’s Award, the Gondwana Voices Young Composer’s Award, and the Paula and David Tunley Award for my compositions.

My work spans vocal, acoustic, and electronic music with a particular focus on standard orchestral instruments and ensembles. I have composed and arranged for a wide range of vocal and choral groups – Australian Vocal Ensemble, Gondwana Voices, St. George’s Cathedral Consort, Voyces, Giovani Consort, MM Productions (Disney in Concert), University of Western Australia Choral Society, West Australian Young Voices and many more.

My compositions have also centred on the stage, including opera and musical theatre, in addition to various bespoke pieces to celebrate those special moments in our lives.

My choral works have been performed around the world, including in a performance for His Majesty King Charles III (then Prince Charles).

I am available for further commissioned compositions and arrangements.

Please get in touch so we can start to cultivate some musical magic together.
